Moncton…I Have Arrived!
I arrived in Moncton a couple of days ago and I am pretty much settled in now. My flight got in quite late Thursday night and I have been adjusting to the time change and climate change for the last couple of days. 🙂 I am staying with a very nice couple who have made me feel right at home here in Moncton.
Yesterday was my first day exploring Moncton and I think my favorite thing I have seen so far are the old buildings they have here, especially the churches. I went to the market they have on Saturday and saw many different things. Then I walked around downtown a bit. I also saw a town across the Petitcodiac River called Riverview.
I took a few photos of the Petitcodiac river and in some of those photos you can see downtown Moncton in them. I took the pictures from the Riverview side of town.
What is really neat about this river is that it is one of the few rivers in North America that has a tidal bore within it. This is a wave or series of waves that basically run upstream the river. This is due to the extreme tides from the Bay of Fundy.
Pretty Cool!
What I like about this river is that it looks like chocolate….a definite plus in my books! 🙂

Hi Tamara!
It was really cold out the day I went to the beach, so I have not yet touched the water! Soon though! 🙂
Riverview is very nice…I walk along the river over there all the time.
More posts to come!!
Hi Sanjay!
New Brunswick is a beautiful province here in Canada. Since I’ve been driving around, it actually reminds me a lot of the northern part of British Columbia! So, I feel somewhat at home here! I am having a great time, a lot of the people here are very friendly and love to strike up a conversation with you!
Hope all is well with you!
