7 Ways To Feel More Powerful In 15 Minutes
Many of us want to stand in our own power. We set the intention, throw it out to the Universe and then sit and wait for the opportunities to practice standing in our power to show up.
Instead of waiting for life to happen, let’s take a look at 7 different ways that you can practice this important skill right away.

Meditate.
Meditation is very important for us to bring awareness into our lives. It also allows us to become clear and be in the present moment. When we meditate on a regular basis we become clear on what we want and don’t want in our lives. Meditation allows us to build self-awareness and to take a look at emotional triggers and the reasons behind them.

De-clutter
By letting go of physical items we shift energy in our surroundings. We move and lighten our space which allows us to feel lighter. Take 15 minutes every day to tidy up, or move out old items that no longer serve us. When we do this, we tend to feel more creative and uplifted. This allows us to be empowered and motivated to start new projects or finish lingering ones.

Sit In Gratitude
Take stock of all the good things in your life. Make a list of what your are thankful for and sit in the feeling of gratitude and joy. This creates a positive and motivated energy within us. We can create great things from this state!

Speak Your Truth
I feel that this is one of the more important points to help us stand in our own power. By voicing how we feel and living in our authenticity, we are really living in a powerful state. It may take time to get really good at this, but this is a skill that is worth investing time and energy in.

Think Of A Fear And Take Action
Fears are something we all have. Take time to look at and conquer them, one at a time. Break them down into baby steps if they feel overwhelming to you. Feeling more powerful is an automatic side effect of overcoming our fears. You can do it!

Write Things Down
This isn’t about lists. Yes, lists are important and recommended. However, we can also, write down our accomplishments, insights (good or bad), and feelings. By writing down our goals, strengths, and dreams make them more real and help us to move towards them. Take a few minutes everyday to write on lined paper with a blue pen. You will be glad you did!

Exercise
Take some time everyday to improve your physical strength. This will help you to feel more powerful and empowered. Whether it is cardio, weights, yoga, swimming, bike riding or walking…get moving. You will release endorphin’s and build muscles, which helps with oxygen and energy levels. Get out in nature, connect and allow yourself to be in the moment while you exercise.
By doing one or many of these tips on a daily basis, you will be well on your way to feel more empowered within your life. Embrace and stand in your power. Live authentically and passionately. Take stock and create movement by recognizing your successes. Conquer your fears.
You Can Do It!
Do You Judge A Book By It’s Cover?
This video really resonated with me for a few different reasons. One of those reasons is because of my sister Faye.
Faye is my older sister who was born with special needs and doesn’t fit within the social norms of what we perceive a “normal” person should look like or be like. To know Faye is to love her. She has many endearing qualities. She is positive, funny and full of love. She is full of imperfections, which make her perfect just the way she is. Most people miss out on knowing Faye, which of course is their loss. A loss due to social conditioning, judgments, and fear.
Growing up with Faye was far from easy. There were many challenges and lessons learned with having Faye as a sister. There were many gifts too. I don’t mean physical gifts. I am referring to gifts like compassion, sensitivity to others, being open to differences and much more.
The questions I leave you with are, where in your life can you let go of judgments? Judgments of self, of loved ones, or of strangers. Where in your life can you bring in more light and love? How can you live in a space of compassion and total acceptance?
When we look inward and start making these changes of living less in judgment and more in total acceptance of ourselves, we shift our energy. We then judge less of others and look past peoples imperfections and be more accepting.
My wish for Faye and everyone in this world is to live in a world of acceptance of who we are. For people to look past our limitations and see the wonderful beings we are.

New Reiki Level One Class!
Reiki Level One
Available to 4 students, this level one Reiki class will provide a deep understanding of Reiki and the importance of the Self – Healing energy this level brings.
We will discuss the history of Reiki, as well as learn self healing techniques and hand placements. There will be a relaxation meditation taught to help you on your way. You will also receive your first attunement, which includes the first powerful Reiki symbol.
Intuitive healing, sound healing and chakra balancing will also be discussed.
Students will be given practice time to become comfortable with using the first symbol and the strong energy it harnesses. We will practice self healing as well as healing on others. Students who successfully complete the class will receive a Level One Reiki Certificate.

Easy Meditation Tip – Sitting In Nature
One of my favorite things to do in my down time is to sit in nature and just be. I enjoy listening to the different birds, seeing and feeling the breeze and sitting in the warm sun.
I find that being in nature really helps me to clear my mind quickly and balance my energy. I love to do this at the end of the day or in between clients.

Stop worrying about what other people think!
It’s time to live a more authentic life! Be true to you! Make yourself happy and feel fulfilled.
Too many people are living their lives based on decisions they made out of obligation to others or please other people. This does not serve you and your authentic self.
I used to worry about what other people thought of me or the decisions I made. I used to hide who I was and worry that I would be judged. Not any more.
Take me as I am. I am a bright light. I am full of love. I am caring, honest and loyal. I am sassy and dynamic. I am opinionated, loud and fun. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am a clairvoyant, a medium and a healer. I have varied interests. Sometimes I allow my temper to get the better of me. I am overweight and I love my body as it is now. I am who I am, take it or leave it.
I fully understand that people won’t get me, or judge me based on their perceptions of who I am and what I represent to them. This is OK!
What I’m trying to say is that it is so freeing to just be who you are, in all totality. Accept all aspects of yourself and let yourself shine. Let yourself ring true to who you are. Let go of the worry or fear of being judged by others.
Take your mask off. It’s time to shine. Be authentic. Be you.
How Often Should You See An Energy Healer?
Energy healing/clearing is something that I recommend be done on a regular basis. But what does that mean exactly…right?
Let me tell you a little bit about my journey with energy work. I’ve been having regular energy work done since 2008. This may surprise some of you. Some people may think, “what could she have been working on for almost 8 years now?” It isn’t about that. I have regular energy work done because I like how my energy body feels when it is clean, clear and balanced.
When I first started with energy work, yes, I had some clearing to do. There were deep emotional wounds that I had been holding onto for many years. It was time to heal those wounds and move forward. I chose energy healing as an excellent way to help me with clearing this energy.
In 2010 I decided that I was going to go to New Brunswick and try a modality called S.A.C. This decision changed my life. Completely. I fell in love with this healing modality and after my first set of sessions and a few Tune-up sessions I decided I was going to learn this modality and bring it here to British Columbia. I still go back to New Brunswick on a regular basis for my SAC tune up sessions. This is a regular part of my energy body maintenance.
We must start thinking of our energy body as we would our physical body. Yes, we can’t see (well, some of us can hehe!) the energy body, but it is there! It works in tandem with our emotions and physical body. Part of leading a healthy life is to exercise, right? The same goes for clearing our energy and balancing our chakras.
As we go through life, we deal with daily stress, emotional stress/trauma, anxiety, work, depression, among other things. What can happen is that this emotional energy will sit within your energy body and become stagnant. As it accumulates over time it can start to feel more dense and even possibly affect the physical body. Even if we have started with some energy work, it is important to keep up a regular schedule so that we can maintain a clear energy body.
Ideally, everyone could work on their own energy body and clear their own chakras, on a daily basis much like exercise. It doesn’t take long at all once you get the hang of it. If someone decided to work on their energy body themselves, from 3-5 times per week I would recommend them to see a professional healer once a month, maybe once every 6 weeks. This will ensure that the healer picks up on anything that that person missed.
Unfortunately, most people are not this disciplined with their energy clearing. This is OK! No need to get down on ourselves about this. What this means is that I would recommend booking more regular sessions with your healer, perhaps every 2-3 weeks. You can choose to continue this course of action and eventually work yourself up to more regular clearing on your own, with monthly follow ups with your healer.
My regular clients notice a difference when they come for their scheduled sessions. They feel lighter, energized, happy and see movement within areas of their lives. I always encourage working on their own, and seeking out guided meditations to listen to at home in between their sessions. It’s important to become self reliant with your energy clearing, and as a healer, I am here to help you towards this goal.
Having said that, although I believe that you can be self reliant with your energy clearing, it is important to go to see a healer on a regular basis. They will see things you don’t see and they will help you with your spiritual, emotional, mental and physical growth. Regular energy work can also speed up the process in moving forward. This is a great side effect!

The Importance Of Being Authentic With Yourself
When working on shifting our vibration or manifesting or trying to feel good, it is so important to be authentic with ourselves. It really is time to get real, open and honest with who we are and where we are at.
Haha…so I’ve sat here for about 20 minutes now trying to figure out a way to write this post without it sounding like a rant. Guess what…it’s going to be a bit of a rant today.
It’s time to become more authentic with your thoughts, feelings and your actions.
This is the only way that we can evolve and raise our vibration so that we can feel great and manifest all that we desire in our lives.
Stop pretending like you’re feeling good when you’re not. Stop saying you are having a terrific day when your vibration and your energy is projecting the exact opposite.
If you are pissed off or sad then own it and figure out why you are pissed off or sad. If life circumstances aren’t going your way, then take a look at what’s happening inside.
Funny YouTube videos or cute cat pictures can temporarily cheer you up for a moment, but if you don’t take the time to address the underlying cause of your frustration or sadness, no amount of pretending to be happy will solve that.
It’s time to start looking into why you are feeling that way and make some changes.
Empower yourself!
Ask why you are creating the same patterns over and over in your life? What thought patters have to change in order for you to break that cycle? What new thought patterns can you bring in to align yourself with love and joy?
Decide to want to make the changes. That is the first step. Get really honest with yourself here. Do you want to change? If you don’t, that’s ok. However, then be ok with the way that your life is, as it is now.
If you want to change, then become aware. Pay attention to what you are saying, thinking, doing and feeling. All the time. Get clear on when you are feeling good and when you are not.
When you aren’t, then ask why. What are the circumstances that need to change in the situation that I am in so that I can get to a place of feeling good now? How can I change my perspective and look at what is going on around me in a different way?
When you are are feeling good, recognize that and ask how you can create more of that in your life.
By doing these few steps, you can take leaps and bounds with changing your life.
