We will discuss the history of Reiki, as well as learn self healing techniques and hand placements.  There will be a relaxation meditation taught to help you on your way.  You will also receive your first attunement, which includes the first powerful Reiki symbol.

Students will be given practice time to become comfortable with using the first symbol and the strong energy it harnesses.  We will practice self healing as well as healing on others.

Intuitive Development Sessions

I have decided to offer a 4 week program dedicated to Intuitive Development for a group of like-minded people.  During the 4 weeks, we will practice meditation, look at clearing emotional and physical pain, learn how to clear chakras and discuss the importance of balance within your life.  There will be exercises to help develop your abilities as well.

You must begin to live as your “true self” and these sessions will help you do that.  You will receive tools to help you open up to your abilities with regard to your intuitive development and get your onto the path that the Universe has laid out for you.

Only register if you can commit to the 4 sessions, which are being held in Maple Ridge from 6.30-8.30. The cost is only $40 per session payable at the beginning of each session.

Happy New Year!

Over the weekend I took my Level Three Komyo Reiki class and it was great!  It ended up being a small class, but a very interesting class at that!

In the level three class you receive your 4th symbol (Master symbol) and it is more of a spiritual based class vs the prior classes, which had more technical information.  I am really looking forward to helping clients using this new level of Reiki!

I was at a Reiki share last night, which gave me the perfect opportunity to use the new symbol and energy that surrounds it.  I myself could feel a difference in the energy and the people I worked on spoke of feeling the energy coming through me, which was neat!  Love to hear feedback!  The Reiki share is hosted once a month in the Surrey, BC area and it is such a great space to practice using the energy.

Last Friday my husband and I went to a seminar that was being held on Energy Healing and we really quite enjoyed ourselves.  The speaker for the evening was Corey Asbreuk and he showed us different ways to play with energy.  His mantra is all about finding the simplest, most laziest way to play with Energy Healing.  It was pretty interesting!

One of the most important messages I took away from the evening was to just allow and trust for the healing to occur.  Which to me, is a message that really resonates.  This isn’t the first time I had heard that message, but it is nice to hear it again and just sit with it.  It’s an important message for the healer as well as the client getting the healing.

Living in a results based world where people look for tangible and often instant results, it’s important for everyone to realize that with each healing session you are having, there is healing occurring.  You might not see or feel the results right away, and the healing that occurs might not be even what you came to your practitioner for.  What’s important to remember is that the healing you are receiving is unique to you and whatever is healing within you at that moment is in perfect alignment with your life path.

Throughout the evening we received many great insights and tips with how to harness the energy and really simplify one’s mindset around a healing session.  I had an excellent time and look forward to going to Corey’s next seminar!

I’ve been home in British Columbia now for about a month now and been keeping myself busy will all sorts of things.  I had told everyone that I would be returning mid May, but it was a bit of a rouse so that I could surprise my family with an early return.  It was a success!

I had decided back in February that I would be returning home in April and started planning with my sister the best way to surprise the rest of my family, especially my Mom as she had been really missing me.  We came up with a plan for me to walk in on everyone at Easter dinner on the Sunday of the weekend.  It was perfect!  I was going to just show up and walk through the front door like I had never left.  Fun! 🙂

Well, the time has come for me to return home to Vancouver.  I’ve decided that I will be on my way back home in May, much to the approval of family and friends there.  🙂

As much as I have enjoyed my time here in the Maritimes, I am looking forward to coming home.  I’ve learned many new things, and met a lot of wonderful people.

Once I return home, I will be offering In Person Psychic Readings and Reiki healing sessions as well as setting up weekend workshops for anyone interested in self exploration and anyone interested in developing their intuition.  I am very excited about being able to add these services in addition to my phone and email readings!

Over the past 10 months I have learned many new things and I’ve really worked on developing my intuition and healing abilities.  I was able to attend many different workshops and have one on one mentoring from some very gifted psychics out this way.  I am very fortunate and thankful for all that I have learned.

In the past 10 months I have improved my Reiki healing abilities and received my Reiki Level II certification.  However, what I really learned is that the true abilities of a Reiki Healer go far beyond their ‘level’ or certifications.  One of the most important things when choosing the right practitioner for yourself is choosing one that is emotionally clean.  What I mean by that, is that it is really important to find someone that is balanced and clear of any emotional upsets that they may be carrying with them.  The cleaner and clearer the healer you choose, the better and purer healing you will receive.

My husband and I attended a Reiki Level One class on Sunday and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  I had taken Level One last year, but I wanted to go again for a couple of reasons.

The teacher that we chose teaches a more traditional Japenese version of Reiki, which varies a little from the westernized Reiki.  I also wanted to refresh some of the techniques taught to us in level one.  Not to mention that it was a great way to spend some time with Paul (my Husband) on a Sunday afternoon. 🙂

When we started to look for a Reiki teacher we decided to look at different websites and were instantly drawn to Jennifer’s webpage,  Mountain Sky Reiki She has lots of information on her site about herself, her travels and Reiki.  We knew right away that she would be a great teacher for us.

We spent the day learning the true history of Reiki, the 5 precepts, many different healing positions, meditations and treatments for ourselves as well as others.

What I found most interesting was the difference in myself when I compare how I was in this class verses the class last year.  The most noticeable difference was in my hands.  When I received my first attunement last year, I was able to feel a bit of heat in my hands, but that was it.  This time around, I could feel heat, cold, a lot of tingling and even waves of energy at times.  I also noticed that the different colours I am able to see were much more vibrant when doing the self healing.  I was quite surprised and pleased by the end of the class!

There could be many reasons for this difference, and I honestly don’t know the answer.  If I were to guess (or use some intuition 😉 ) , I would say that I am much more open to the Reiki healing process now than I was last year, and with that, the energy flowing through me is stronger and more noticeable.

I am really glad I took this class again.  I feel that it is definetly a great stepping stone for anyone  looking to develop any of their natural abilities or even for people looking for alternative healing.
